California <--> Finland connection terribly slow

Since the holidays, I guess it started a bit before Christmas, we are experiencing terribly slow connections. We live on the West Coast and the only use of Freedome is to wathc the Finnish television (areena.yle.fi and katsomo.fi) through the Espoo proxy, mainly good Nordic crime series.

 

Our internet provider gives us ca. >18 MBps when Freedome is off, when it is on, the speed drops down to about 0.7 MBps. This means that when wathching a movie, the browser stops every 5th seconds or so and displays "Loading". An unenjoyable experience, frustrating and upsetting since we paid an annual fee for the license.

 

Anyone else experienced similar? 

 

I reported this morning to F-Secure the issue, sent in the diagnosis files in, no reply yet.

 

Any ideas, comments are mostly welcome. We use MacBook Air's, 4Gb and 8Gb, no difference in the end result.

If you are still having the connection slowness issue, it is recommended to contact our Support via phone or chat in order to troubleshoot further. This might need some detailed analysis and they would guide you further.
