After SAFE installation some applications won't start

Hi,

After upgrading F-Secure Internet Security to SAFE, some applications did not start anymore including SAFE itself.

SAFE seemed to work in background (services), but could not open SAFE UI (nothing happened).

Also could not open Windows File Explorer or some other applications.

This PC has been upgraded from Win7 to Win10.

However, my other PC (clean Win10 installation) works fine after SAFE installation.

 

After unistalling SAFE file explorer and other apps started to work.

What could be reason for this?

Before installing SAFE, did you fully remove F-Secure Internet Security, using the F-Secure Uninstallation Tool?  If not, than I suggest that you run it, which will remove SAFE as well, but then you can re-install SAFE cleanly, and hopefully everything else will then work OK.
