Problems with Windows Installation

I have installed Freedome on a surplus Windows 7  32 bit computer that has just had the OS re-installed and updated.  The Freedome installs goes fine, however  things are not normal after that. The Freedome icon is displayed in the task tray and right clicking brings up the control menu, on-off, location... and they work.  However, double clicking on the shortcut icon will not bring up the dialog box that has the round on-off circle or subscription menu.  Freedome shows on the taskbar but that's it.  Anyone else had this problem?

That's a little strange that the application doesn't open when clicked on the shortcut icon in the Desktop. Do you see the same issue when clicking on the Taskbar icon as well?

Have you tried to restart the computer and see if you can open Freedome from the shortcut icon in the desktop?
