Confusion Over Products

When I look at Home products the first two from the drop-down menu are: F-Secure SAFE and F-Secure Internet Security. How are these two products different from one another?

F-Secure SAFE and F-Secure Internet Security have same (practically) for desktops (Windows desktops).

If with recent releases something will be not dropped for F-Secure IS.. so main difference can be next:

 

--> For example.. if we talk about one license for one device:

 

-> You able to install F-Secure Internet Security for one Windows device (laptop, desktop).

---> You able to install F-Secure SAFE for one Windows device (laptop, desktop) or for one Mac device or for one Android device or for one iOS device or for one Windows Phone device.

 

And with F-Secure SAFE you can to manager your license/installation (just common things) under your MySafe Portal (like UI/web-panel for get installer, name device installation, some features and manage license - if you want to re-use it).

 

This is main different in design. F-Secure SAFE provide option to use it under some platforms. And also management-things, which partly can be solved by user.

 

 

So.. if you have F-Secure SAFE license for three devices.

You able to install it: one for Windows desktop, one for Android device, one for Windows Phone device. And you able to re-use licenses. If you stop to use Android device.. you able to re-use license for another Windows desktop.

 

And if you have F-Secure Internet Security for three device.

This is mean that you able to use this licenses just for three Windows desktop devices. Like installation for three different Windows desktops/laptops. And if randomly there can be "stuck" for license-in-use (broken uninstallation, system is dead or other)... with some situations you will be with more hard steps to create installation for another device (but there small different in fact).

 

What about features.. previously and maybe on current time too....

F-Secure SAFE for Windows desktops is same with F-Secure Internet Security.

 

F-Secure SAFE for Android devices - it more same with previous "Mobile Security".

F-Secure SAFE for Windows Phone and maybe for iOS devices - work like Safe Browser (with rating pictures under search results and browsing protection against malicious websites. some other small features).

F-Secure SAFE for Mac devices - it more like F-Secure AV for Mac devices.

 

So... with F-Secure SAFE you decided on which device.. you want to install F-Secure SAFE. If you have five-devices-license .... so you able to install each license to any of supported platform.

Which can be helpful time to time for understanding.. what better to you.

In fact.. with some of "dreams" can be enough F-Secure AV... but "tool" will be advice to use F-Secure SAFE anyway.
