FS Protection is stuck - No upgrade, no removal
I bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and installed FS Protect. It auto-upgraded to Windows 10, and when the upgrade triggered for FS Protect, it failed. Win10 proved to be too buggy, so I reverted back to 8.1. The upgrades continued to fail, so I tried to uninstall FS Protect, and that isn't working. The uninstall process goes through and completes, saying it's uninstalled, but it's still there. Restarting does not help. Any solution?

I suggest you use this https://www.f-secure.com/fr_FR/web/home_fr/support-tools then rebbot and run CCleaner on the registry https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download (free version).

Here is a direct link to the F-Secure Uninstallation Tool. As YOF suggested, run that, then reboot, and you may also wish to run a 'clean up' product such as CCleaner. Following that, you should be able to reinstall FS Protection 'as new'.
Let us know how you get on.
