    Hi Geemixi,

We have found performance issues in our Espoo virtual location and changes to it has been done. We have seen improvment but still it seems that there are affected connections with slower speeds.

We are still supervising the connections and trying to improve the speeds.

The seventh day report (27.10.2015). Espoo virtual location in the morning 5.6 / 2.5 Mbps, in the evening 0.6 / 2.3 Mbps. Stockholm in the evening 20.3 / 2.6Mbps

Is there any hope that Espoo virtual location sometimes will be resolved or is this the final speed?

  • Hello Geemixi,

Some changes have already been made on our Espoo virtual location to try and improve the situation. As you still experience the evening slow down, could you give us more information about the type of network you are connecting from? Also if possible the country and operator you use.

I'm having issues with speed as well. The speeds vary greatly. I have no idea what happened in that first one, but I'll include it for completeness' sake.

My connection: 100/10 in Oulu. Using speedtest.net for testing. I let it automatically pick the location by lowest ping. Format of the list is time-IP-down-up-ping-speedtest.net server location and distance-VPN status.

Download "CyberGhost" and you have no problems with Espoo/Finland thereafter.

Here's today's values. How much throughput do you consider appropriate for your product? I've heard of your competitors reaching more than 80Mbps on a 100Mbps connection.

    The fourteenth day report (3.11.2015)

    Without Freedome

all day long  El Rubio     83.47.174.41                    30.0/3.0 Mbps

    With Freedome

    09:21 CET   Helsinki       95.175.104.36                  17.2/2.6 Mbps

    13:21 CET    Helsinki        95.175.104.36                    1.8/6.0 Mbps

    20:45 CET  Helsinki        95.175.104.36                     0.7/2.4 Mbps

                          Stockholm   188.126.80.53                 22.4/2.5 Mbps

The same story every day during the last two weeks. Promising morning, but during the day speed will disappear. F-Secure is investigating the issue, but .....

A few things amazes me with this issue:

-The problem occurs in the afternoons and evenings

-Where does the speed disappear between Stockholm and Helsinki?

-Why this problem does not occur with ”CyberGhost”?

I'm in Spain and can hear the sound but no pictures.... this happens any time of the  day.

Also the TV of local news papers are down..

Even the sound takes a lot of time to appear.

Has Yle and MTV found ways to block Freedom?

  • Hello tuulainkeri,

We had some problem on the Finnish virtual location since yesterday morning. It should be resolved for most users and are still working to fix it completely.

Could you give us more information concerning the "TV of local news papers are down" do you mean Spanish tvs?

    Hi,

I meant the finnish local papers... f.ex

    http://www.iltalehti.fi/iltvluontojaelaimet/201603150120130_v6.shtml

The stream starts and then stops... and starts and stops...

Mainly my interest is Yle Areena and that does not work.

Still cannot see Yle Areena, this is becoming very annoying...
