Applicable to Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and Windows 10!

Right now ... here are the steps! So I am not so sure that the steps really solve the issues.

I am doing the msconfig.exe.

Go to boot select Safe boot minimal.

Then it restart Windows.

On the command prompt administrator.

Type sfc /scannow

Once it completed 100%.

Go to msconfig.exe again on command prompt.

And unselect safe boot. Then restart windows again.

Check the prompt is working now.

It should by now.

Once you have the command prompt working. (command prompt administrator)

Type in this command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (make sure you are connected to the Internet Online)

Make sure the process is completed 100%!

Then go to control panel, system, system protection, click System Restore, click create to do a restore point.

Restart Windows again.

Then do a command prompt administrator.

Type the command again    sfc /scannow

Once completed 100% restart Windows again.

It should be working...

Note:- If none of the above method works... You need to format and reinstall Windows back again.

But before you do anything. Back up all your data, programs first before you do any Windows recovery or Windows reinstall.

I had seen the same issue on a private forum.

The main reason behind this issue is that

    1. missing Visual C++ files

    2. Missing Directx Files

    3. Missing .NET files

Check out The application was unable to start correctly solution from here
