Windows 10 and VPN reconnect loop

I have a clean Windows 10 install (no upgrade) and the Freedome VPN connection keeps reconnecting every 20 seconds making it unusable. It happens with all different country endpoints.

I tried reinstalling Freedome but that didn't help. The software worked correctly on the same machine with Windows 8.1.

At the moment, Freedome can not be used. Looking forward to a reply by F-Secure.

I have the exact same issue with Freedome and with a clean install of Windows 10. Some times the VPN works just fine, however most of the time it will get stuck in a never ending loop of connect & reconnect.

I started a trial of freedome, and it just keeps disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. Is it incompatible with Windows 10? If you have a solution please pm me also.

Hi  - just to add my name to the list of those suffering constant reconnections since the Win 10 upgrade, everything was OK before the upgrade.  Please get  the updated version released as a priority as the VPN service is now useless.  Will F-secure be allowing extra days on my subscription to allow for the days I can't use it?

Looks like i'm not the only one having this problem. Just installed Windows 10 a couple days ago, was a happy camper until i installed Freedome and started experiencing this constant reconnecting..

Same issues here also. Mostly been running well, but for the last few days I've had weird disconnects and now the service is totally stuck. Cant reconnect after it disconnects from service. Works few minutes after reboot, but then disconnects and cant get it back up. Works fine on my android. The software is giving me a message about updating, but eventhough I have working connection atm. the installation is not going through I think. The version Im currently running is 1.0.1825.0. Refund in mind and some other service that might have more stability. Freedome has been unstable and out of use for the last 3 days.

We just released a new version(v1.0.1897.0) which should resolve this issue. This version is available now to all the already installed Freedome. To try and speed up its reception, you can quit Freedome and restart it.

 

Let us know if you still have the issue with the above mentioned version.

I would LOVE to try v1.0.1897.0. But as dl it from the home site i only get the 1.0.18942.0 version. Live in Sweden if that matters at all

i still had version 1.0.1715.0 until just now i was notified about the newer version. The update i was notified about was not v1.0.1897.0 though, but ended with 1842..

Well for me its not updating to the newer version after quitting the program, but the connection has been stable awhile now. Knocking on wood.

 

Windows 10 installation corrupted once for me and I had 3 device plan. Had to reinstall windows and cursed myself as I've heard you loose the code if you remove the program. Well after windows 10 reinstallation I reinstalled freedome also and typed the code in and it worked. So I guess it somehow detected the hardware as it is the same or something.. dont know.

 

Anyways, its not updating for me, but its working for now so its all good. Nasty feeling though  as its been pretty unstable recently. As mentioned earlier it tried to update few times awhile back but I feel it didnt go through and still running 1.0.1825.0.

New version is NOT being offered via the download link on the (UK) website as of 19.15 on 8th Sept.  

It still gives me version 1842, which I already installed last week and which doesn't solve the problem.

 

Please advise us how to obtain version 1897 ..................... ??

Sorry for bringing you incorrect information. Actually version 1842 is the current available version on our website. It is the version that should have had a fix for some of the reconnect loop issue.

 

The version 1897 is the current  beta version but doesn't have unfortunately any further fix on that problem.

 

If you still have issue with the version 1842, we will need some logs to investigate further what could still be causing the issue. I'll contact you by PM on how to provide the logs.
