Disk usage 100% in Windows 8.1

Every time my laptop 'awakens' from sleep- or slumbermode (I never can tell those two apart), it takes about a quarter of an hour (literally!) before I can do anything useful with it, due to 'Disk Usage' being 100 per cent. One of the programs that uses the disc most intensively is F-Secure. Is there anything I can change in the settings to make this better? 

 

It's a new problem to me, I've never had any problems with F-secure with earlier versions of Windows, so part of it is to blame on the Worst OS Ever, i.e. Windows 8. But as we are stuck with it, please let me know what to do in F-secure.
