Heuristic scan?

Hello,

 

in the GUI of FSIS, the heuristic scan is configurable (on/off) for the manual scan.

 

1) Is heuristic configurable for a planned scan (automated scanning)?

If the answer is no: is the heuristic scan included for a planned scan (automated scanning)?

 

2) Is heuristic configurable for the command line scanner fsav.exe?

If the answer is no: is the heuristic scan included in the command line scan or not?

To answer your questions:

1) Yes, there is also real-time heuristic analysis in our product. The feature is included in DeepGuard and it's enabled by default. In order to disable that feature you would need to check the "Use the compatibility mode (lowers security)" checkbox in DeepGuard's settings.

2) By default the scheduled scanning/command line scanning is using the Manual Scanning settings.
