Reinstalling Windows on my laptop and desktop. What happens regarding user licences?

Reinstalling Windows on my laptop and desktop. What happens regarding user licences? I had 5 originally but have used two, one on my desktop and one on my laptop. So now I have 3 left. If I istall FS Protecion again, will this use the current licences even if they are the same devices? Or will I use up 2 of the 3 licences left?

 

And what happens if you run out of licences? Can they be transfered?

The licenses will transfer. So, you will probably use another two of the five, meaning you've used four, but if, say, you wanted to license another three devices after that, then you would be given the option to reuse inactive licenses once the five have been used.
