F-Secure Search

Windows 8.1, IE 11, F-Secure security suite.

A pop up asks me to install 'F-Secure Search'.

I am on BT and use Google as my default  search engine.

 

When a list of websites appears they have the little green ticks...or otherwise.

Do I need to install 'Search' as I presume it is already active?

There are quite a few additional extra benefit using Search.

For example your search will be anonymized.

It won't cause any complications, adding it will make your searchs run thru https://search.f-secure.com/? . Which as you can see is also powered by Google.
