False virus alert on "EasySuite USB Host-to-Host Data Bridge"?
Hello.
I'm using a USB file transfer cable/adapter to connect two computers: "EasySuite USB Host-to-Host Data Bridge"
When connecting, both computers recognize the adapter as a CD-rom with two files, one of them is Easysuite.exe.
Starting Easysuite.exe on both computers give them access to the disks at the other computer.
When scanning Easysuite.exe with F-Secure, one of the computers (not the other) reports a virus :
05 December 2011 09:13:53 - 09:14:14
Computer name: xxx
Scanning type: Scan target
Target: F:\
Result: 1 malware found
Gen:Trojan.Heur2.LVP.rq0@aWN1k4mi (virus)
• F:\EasySuite.exe Action: FAILED
Is this a known issue, or is it a false virus alarm?
I can not imagine that some virus has infected the adapter here, it seems to be totally read-only.
Scanning program:
F-Secure Anti-Virus for Workstations, ver. 9.11.
