When I switiched on my PC this morning I had a warning regarding Application.w32/
Application:W32/ threat. Myt knowledge about these things is very little but I was surprised to find that when I followed thru F Secure to try to delete, I found myself on a link that suggested I purchase F Secure Anti Virus.   How is this when I have the latest Internet Security already installed and up to date !!

Hard to tell from your description, but if you clicked a link to get more information about the threat, like this one: Application:W32/  then you get to a page that includes information about Disinfection & Removal:

    Automatic Disinfection

Allow F-Secure Anti-Virus to disinfect the relevant files.

For more general information on disinfection, please see Removal Instructions.

If you from there click the F-Secure Anti-Virus link it'll take you to the Product/Sales page. This is only general information that the Anti-Virus product can disinfect the threat. It's a static page and does not know if or what F-Secure product you may have.
