Problem with IS2012, Outlook 2010 and POP3S

I upgraded from Internet Security 2011 to 2012.

Now i'm not able to receive emails.

Outlook is not able to establish a connection to my provider over Port 995 (pop3s) anymore.

 

When I configure the pop3 port in the protocol configuration window to port 995, then it won't work.

The default configuration won't work either.

 

When I configure the pop3 port in the protocol configuration window to port 0, then it works, but then the protocol scanning won't work.

 

It would be nice to be able to configure the IS2012 as a pop3s proxy, so that the IS2012 can scan the incoming emails for malware.

Hi,

 

encrypted traffic cannot be scanned by IS12 because it doesnt know the key to decrypt and scan.

 

Default mail ports should work.

 

Could it be your mail server will not allow non secure connections?
