Console Logs - Repeated Block of messages

Hi Folks

I've noticed that in my console log, the following block of messages is repeated over and over every 10 seconds or so:

23/06/2011 08:53:37 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.f-secure.fsmac.updateobserver[7604]) posix_spawnp("/usr/local/f-secure/bin/updateobserver", ...): No such file or directory
23/06/2011 08:53:37 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.f-secure.fsmac.updateobserver[7604]) Exited with exit code: 1
23/06/2011 08:53:37 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.f-secure.fsmac.updateobserver) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
23/06/2011 08:53:37 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.f-secure.fsmac.updateobserver) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
23/06/2011 08:53:37 com.apple.launchd[758] (com.f-secure.fsmac.fsbar[7605]) posix_spawnp("/Library/F-Secure/fsmac/utils/fsbar.app/Contents/MacOS/fsbar", ...): No such file or directory
23/06/2011 08:53:37 com.apple.launchd[758] (com.f-secure.fsmac.fsbar[7605]) Exited with exit code: 1
23/06/2011 08:53:37 com.apple.launchd[758] (com.f-secure.fsmac.fsbar) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

Any ideas what causes this and how to prevent it?

Cheers

Andrew

Can your F-Secure for Mac Antivirus do any updates lately??

Try to block and unblock the  firewall first.

Make sure that you do not have any third party firewall installed in your system and it should not block the F-Secure Virus updates.

Is your Subscription Key still working?

Check under Manage Subscription Key and click to set. (Make sure that your subscription key is still active)

There are times that the F-Secure server is not updating and need to inform the F-Secure Tech Support for these.

Make sure that your Wifi Router did not block F-Secure Virus updates.

F-Secure antivirus updates are automatically set to hourly basis.

Okay before you send email to F-Secure tech support.

What you need to do is to Log in as admin user, open Finder, select "Applications", go to "F-Secure" folder, click "Support tool". In the Terminal window that opens, click enter. Type password if asked.

The tool starts gathering the information. After finished, the output file appears on your desktop. Attach the fsdiag.tar.gz file to your support request.

And email F-Secure Tech Support with the above file for analysis.
