Microsoft will end the support for Windows XP on April 8th. That means no more Windows Updates to patch XP vulnerabilities Smiley Embarassed

Yesterday Microsoft announced that they later this week will provide a free data migration tool to copy files and settings to a new PC running Windows 7, 8 or 8.1

Note: It does not move applications, but if you want that you can get the professional version of the migration tool at a special price.

On March 8th, 2014, Windows XP customers using the Home or Professional editions who have elected to receive updates via Windows Update will receive an official notification on their desktop screen via Windows Update informing them that support for Windows XP will end on April 8th, 2014.
