Hi everyone need some help I have downloaded secure it says I have a license for my computer but I thought there would be a desktop icon showing its working and been installed any ideas ???

Click the F-Secure icon in the systray(bottom right corner of the screen/desktop)

 

Then you should see:

 

By clicking "Computer Security" you should see a status of the protection.

Hi thanks for reply but I dont have this on the computer just checked any other ideas please.

Well, then it sounds as it's not installed. Check control panel - programs and features, if you have a F-Secure program.

 

If not, download again.

Then double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions.

If you're coming from Virgin Media, you need to read this thread on how to remove VMS.  It will contain the link to the Virgin Media Removal Tool which you should run before installing F-Secure.

 

If you're not coming from VMS, make sure that you have fully removed all other 'active', ie 'real time' anti-virus products from your machine.  This list of Uninstallation Tools may help.

 

If neither of the above apply, then try using the F-Secure Uninstallation Tool to fully remove the damaged installation, and start again.
