Virus Defintions are very old??Please Help!!

I'm getting this error message on the bottom right hand corner of my screen with a yellow flashing exclamation point saying "Your virus definitions are very old".Can someone please tell me why i'm getting this message and how i can solve the problem.Thank you all for your help...

You installed F-Secure product recently?

 

If yes, it has to download whole database of viruses what exists. So it may take huge time to download whole lists.

 

Anyway, go to "common settings" of launch pad(if you use AV or IS 2012 you'll see it), under "Downloads" menu press "check now", and look belove it what's going on about downloads.

May I know which version of F-Secure program you have?
- Right click the F-Secure icon in the Taskbar > About...

 

You may try this:

1. Make sure that your system clock is set to current date and time.
2. Refer to this KB article.

I installed F-secure  internet security 2011 yesterday.I dont see the settings that you talked about.Is IS 2011 alot different than IS 2012?

F-Secure Internet Security 2011 10.50 build 197-thats the version i have.The article helped alot.
