Oh for separate Sections in the Forum.

Take a look here at how other Security vendors place their products in separate sections;

Webroot; https://community.webroot.com/t5/Community-Forums/ct-p/Forums

Kaspersky; http://forum.kaspersky.com/

Eset; https://forum.eset.com/

Much easier to post and find things in the relevant sections.

Have F-Secure any thoughts on splitting their Forum up into at least separate sections for Windows/Mac and Mobile products?

    Whilst I agree that the forum could certainly do with a makeover, personally, I wouldn't be in favour of TOO many different sections / boards.  The Kaspersky forum is a bit of a maze with so many different boards and sub-boards, and it can be difficult to decide where to post if the question is non-specific, or the user is unsure which component their problem relates to.  It would also require a lot of moderation and moving of posts from one section to another, which I think would currently pose a problem here, given the lack of forum staff presence over the weekends.

    I do feel that the forum sections could, however, be expanded a little, to be more specific, and would certainly support Blackcat's suggestion of separating the Windows / Mac and Mobile products.  Of the above examples, I would favour the Eset model - clarity without being too complex.

    Hi guys!

    Now that our Community userbase is expanding and the number of posts is beginning to increase, splitting boards and creating new ones is certainly on our mind at the moment.  As you mentioned, Simon, having too many boards can get overwhelming, so we're trying to keep the right balance.  I think you'll be seeing a slight re-organization shortly :)
