Yes,

 

On this site http://www.eicar.org/85-0-Download.html F-Secure blocks the eicar files in the Download area using the standard protocol http.

 

Why F-Secure does not react on the other site?

On the French eicar site are ANY zipped files picked up?

 

Personally I would only be concerned with the results at the OFFICIAL EICAR site.

 

Further some other AVs only pick up the 1 EICAR file at the official site; the eicar.com file.

 

Overall as long as your AV of choice picks up at least this file then the AV is working as it should.

Make sure, do a full scan and delete the quarantine files that detected it.

F-Secure 2014 picks up all 4 Eicar files before they are downloaded using Chrome, IE, FireFox and Opera. 

 

 

 

 

 

It does not pick up the Eicar Files using the encrypted SSL-https protocol - but no surprises there as most AVs do not pick these up. 

 

It also picks up on trojan simulator; http://trojan-simulator.softpedia.com/
