Really bad experience

Hello,

I recently installed the demo version of Internet Security on my WinXP SP3 PC.

First of all - and I really dislike it - I was forced into de-install my current AV (Kaspesrky), while disabling it would have been enough.

Then, after the installation of Internet Security, Windows behaviour became erratic. It starts to complain about system files being replaced by unknown versions. Some customisation of my PC disappeared (such as the replacement of the Task Manager by Sysinternal-ProcessExplorer, ...)

With so many problems, I just erased my C: and restore my previous backup.

Very bad experience with F-Secure and wasted time.

    Hi Kr,

I have moved this thread to Security for PC, Mac and mobile devices board.

Kindly refer this KB article for product installation.

"The product cannot be installed on a computer that uses other antivirus or firewall products.

The product detects and removes security and firewall software of the largest security software vendors automatically during installation. However, it is possible that for some reason the removal fails. In this case, you need to remove any other security or firewall software manually."

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,
    Jayson

    Kr,

SysInternals Process Explorer options need to be reset when you install F-Secure. Because it runs very early in the boot sequence, before/same time F-Secure call. Deepguard would probably not have recognised ProcExp.exe or had it in the list of monitored programs. So in fact F-Secure program was working properly to protect your PC from any potential harm in my opinion.
