F Secure Sidegrade Support Module Error

I'm trying to install the Charter Security Suite and I'm getting the following error "F secure Sidegrade Support Module has encountered a problem and needs to close".  I have several things including deleting F-Secure from my HDD and the

registry but nothing has worked.  I trying to insgtall Charter version 9 my PC is running Windows XP SP3, Please let me know how I can get this past this and install Charter Security Suite.

Maybe you can try the standalone sidegrade tool and see if is working :-

 

ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/tools/sidegrade/fssg_sa_package_7.0-159-signed.exe

 

Save it to your desktop than run it.

 

You may try our F-Secure uninstallation tool as well :-

 

1. Download the uninstallation tool from the link given below

ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/support/tools/uitool/UninstallationTool.exe

2. Save it on your Desktop for easy locating.
3. After download is completed, double click on it to run it.
4. Your computer will be restarted.

 

once done, try to reinstall the Charter security suit again.

The currently available version of FSSG tool appears to be from year 2011.

 

Will F-Secure Corp. release an updated SideGrade utility soon? (For example by adding support for VirusBuster removal, which would be important for us.)
