F-Secure does not run after F-Secure Aquarius Update?

Problem description:

F-Secure 2013 bought 2.03.2013. Product installed and worked properly. After Microsoft automatic update when closing the computer yesterday 23.03.2013 and new-opening today 24.03.2013 F-Secure 2013 program does not run at all (checked from Windows Task Management), there is no icon on the task bar (down-right corner icons).

 

However the program exists on the harddisk (all programs-f-secure folder: F-Secure and Support Tool -programs).

What is the problem with F-Secure, and what to do next?

Found out the F-Secure is not running

User run the Support tool from the computer's programlist

The q is - could it be possible that F-Secure started normally in the morning but after "Aquarius" update the internet security had been shut down and MS update had nothing to do w/ this?

 

The other q is ... what is this "Aquarius", what is it for, could it be the reason of disabling of F-Secure???

Hello auser,

 

Aquarius is one of scanning engines and it's very hard to say wheter it caused the client starting problem or not. I would recommend to reinstall the client and if the problem recurs please open support ticket and send fsdiag to us.
