Sidebar gadget

After update to release  3 today my sidebar gadget for f-secure is gone and it is not showing in add sidebar gadget. I like to have it on so I can see that it is OK.

The release notes stated:

 

"Microsoft decided to discontinue the use of gadgets and offered the removal of the functionality as a fix for a security vulnerability (MSA 2719662). F-Secure cannot support use of a known to be vulnerable operating system component."

 

So it appears that the F-Secure gadget has gone the way of the dodo bird.

That's probably the same upgrade that blocked some email clients from downloading from POP3 servers.

 

I restored to a point earlier that the upgrade and let it update again.  After that, my email works and the gadget is back.
