FSAV 2013 - Tryout

Hello,

 

I'm currently trialing F-Secure Antivirus 2013 and I like it a lot, however I'm getting subscription pop-up alerts on my desktop at every startup, so here's my question: If I purchase a subscription now, will it be added to the remaining days of my current trial.. or should I wait until it runs out first before buying? Thanks in advance.

I have just received an email response from Mr. Yoon Kok Hoong, Techical Support Engineer:

 

Thank you for contacting F-Secure.

With regards to your enquiry, please kindly be informed that when you purchase a new F-Secure Anti-Virus 2013, the remaining days will be added to your current trial version if you add the new subscription key to the current trial version. And if you upgrade to F-Secure Internet Security, all you need to do is to enter the new subscription key and install the new components for F-Secure Internet Security on the current F-Secure Anti-Virus that is on your computer.

I also asked them about upgrading my Antivirus to Internet Security, hence the second paragraph in his answer. I understand that this support community is new to the users and their members are not much familiarized with F-Secure products yet, the same with chat support which is practically unreachable at all times. Fortunately, email support was speedy and very helpful

Thanks for the feedback about the different sources of help that we are using.

It is good to hear your opinion. The concept of a Community is not so clear to everyone but many companies are using it. I encourage you to use it as well. Here you can receive peer to peer help as well.

I upgraded my AV-Trial to a full subscription of Internet Security and I couldn't be happier!

 

I find F-Secure to be one of the most light, stable and well-programmed security software available today.
