Is there any way you can restrict the use of the CPU during a full scan, say to 50% or 20%? My computer keeps crashing during a scan and I'm sure the reason is that F-Secure is hogging all the processing power.
I would suggest you to open a Support Ticket for further assistances. Kindly attach a FSDIAG and your subscription key together with your service request, to create FSDIAG file.
Thanks Jayson. I have done as you suggested and my Support Ticket has been acknowledged. The fact that "Crash / hang" is one of the standard Subjects provided for new Support Tickets suggests to me that maybe mine isn't the first enquiry of its type...
I've now had a response from Sugu Bala, Technical Support Engineer. The answer to my question seems to be no. There are many ways in which you can force the program to perform less than a full scan, but there is no way in which you can restrict the program's use of the CPU during a full scan, say to 50% or 20%.
