Excessive update downloads

I have Internet Security 2013 and have installed the parallel Mobile protection on my SE Experia Arc s.

 

I have a 100Mb data allowance, before fsecure I never used hardly a fraction of this. With F secure it has used it up with hunger. 1 day into my allowance period it has taken 7.6 MB! Which means I run out after 13-14 days

 

Why does fsecure use so much?

 

I begin to think of uninstalling it as the only answer...

well, any anti-virus will use that much... Antivirus updates databases, and those are not just one or two, they are a lot more

Hi,

Can you verify the network usage from Settings-> Data Usage-> Mobile Data ?

Scroll down and you can see how much different services have used network.

In my case Mobile Security has used 1.31 MB during the period of Nov 16 -Dec 10.

Before fsecure it was 11.4MB.  Mine has used 54M in that same period. Given Fsecurs web claim of around 800KB I have to wonder where its all going?
