What engines does F-Secure use

Hello, I had read that F-Secure uses BitDefender's engine. Is that true?

 

If so does it also use its own or how does that work?

Yes. It is true. F-Secure uses Bit Defender's scan engine. I just read about it, but don't know how does it actuall work.

it uses many engines: deepguard, aquarius, hydra, gemini, blacklight.

AFAIK F-Secure currently uses BitDefender's engine in addition to F-Secure's own engines. Before they used Kaspersky instead of bitdefender.

 

And yes there are several engines in place.
