Standalone Installation Option for F‑Secure Password Vault
Request:
Enable the option to install F‑Secure components—specifically Password Vault—without deploying the full endpoint protection (antivirus/security features).
Background:
On my computer, there is already an existing, centrally managed security solution in place. Introducing an additional security layer from F‑Secure on this device is not feasible due to:
- potential conflicts between security agents
- performance considerations
- restrictions related to having multiple endpoint protection platforms
At the same time, I would like to continue using F‑Secure Password Vault as a standalone solution, as it meets my requirements well.
Current limitation:
At present, Password Vault appears to require installation alongside core security components, which limits its usability in situations where another security solution is already in use.
Proposed enhancement:
Provide a deployment option that allows:
- installation of Password Vault independently of antivirus/endpoint protection features
- selective component-based installation (modular approach)
- clear separation between the security agent and password management functionality
Benefits:
- Enables use of F‑Secure Password Vault alongside existing endpoint security solutions
- Improves compatibility in mixed-security environments
- Reduces deployment friction and potential conflicts
- Increases flexibility for individual users and enterprise scenarios alike
I believe this would significantly improve usability and broaden the practical applicability of your solution.
