Frequent VPN interruptions

When using a VPN connection Zurich, Switzerland I encounter frequent interruptions. Sometimes the connection recovers, sometimes the connection is lost, but can be reestablished. However watching TV is not really stable.

Is this a typical server problem for Swiss connections via VPN?

Frequent interruptions are not considered normal behaviour for the VPN connection, including the Zurich, Switzerland location. However, streaming services such as TV/video platforms are more sensitive to connection stability, latency, and packet loss, which can make interruptions more noticeable.

The issue may be related to:

• Temporary server load or routing issues
• Local network instability
• ISP-related connection fluctuations
• VPN protocol compatibility

To help improve stability, please try the following:

• Disconnect and reconnect to the Switzerland location
• Try another nearby VPN location to compare performance
• Switch networks if possible (for example Wi-Fi vs mobile hotspot)
• Restart the device and router
• Ensure you are using the latest version of the F-Secure application

If the issue continues, please contact our support team with:

• Your device and operating system
• The VPN protocol in use (if available)
• Approximate time when the interruptions occur

Hi,

I will try your suggestions as mentioned above. The only thing that is not possilbe is using anther VPN location, since only using Zurich, Switzerland, allows watching srf.ch streams. None swiss locations will block the site.
