I use 52 character password for password vault and in the vault create 20-character passwords for all my websites. Of course loggin into my f-secure account is prerequisite for accessing my password vault, so should i use my 52-character master password also as my f-secure account password?

    Hi @Nils_2

For security sake, I would create a new, separate F-Secure portal account password from your Vault password. I would also enable 2 Step Verification in your F-Secure portal account by going to the top of that web page/Menu/Account Settings/F-Secure Account Settings/2 Step Verification. That way both the Vault and your portal are protected by different passwords….just in case, and just to be sure of their individual security.

one thing to note (maybe): basically, access to your My F-Secure account does not automatically create access to your Password Vault. Unless I've forgotten something.

in case of using your Password Vault by someone else with knowledge of your vault's masterpassword - they will also need your 'storage' file or access to your device. Otherwise it is pretty tricky to gain any 'use' of knowing your master password.

// still (as suggested above) - always preferable to use different long, unique, 'random' passwords for everything.
