Signing into F-Secure account
I chose F-Secure for my new computer, a Windows 11. So it's new for me. Installed F-Secure using a administrator account and everything went as it should. However, mainly I use the computer using a non-administrator account and in that account F-Secure urges me to sign in the my F-Secure account. When I try to do that, F-Secure doesn't give any other option that its my child's device and doesn't allow me to just sing in as me… For me it's egal, so I just don't sign in…

Hi @Grimur,
Thank you for your message and for choosing F-Secure.
When F-Secure Total is installed on Windows 11 using an administrator account, the protection is applied to the entire device. So even when you use a standard (non-administrator) account, your computer remains fully protected.
If you prefer to manage the device under your account, we recommend:
- Opening the app from the administrator account
- Ensuring the device is correctly assigned in your My F-Secure account
Please let us know if you need further details on this.
Thank you.

The current version only allows one account per device to be linked to any user in My F-Secure. Since you already linked the administrator account to yourself, you can't login the non-adminstrator account to the same user.
Logging in is required to use password vault and identity monitoring. If you don't use these features then you can ignore the login prompt (dismiss + do not ask again).
If you want to use these features then the simplest option is to uninstall the product and then reinstall from the non-administrator account and when installer asks for elevation provide the administrator account credentials in that elevation dialog. This way the non-administrator account gets linked to your user.
We are also working on removing the account link limitation but I can't give any any dates when that would be available.
