We did this after asking Gemini

F-Secure may block iMazing because it suspects it as a threat, so you should

add iMazing to your F-Secure whitelist resolve the issue. If that doesn't work, try temporarily disabling your security software to see if it resolves the problem, and ensure your device, iMazing, and F-Secure are all updated.

Troubleshooting steps1. Add iMazing to the F-Secure whitelist

  • The most direct solution is to tell F-Secure to trust iMazing. You may need to look in F-Secure's settings for an "allowed applications" or "whitelist" feature.
  • You may need to add both the iMazing application and the Apple Mobile Device Service to your exceptions or whitelist.

2. Temporarily disable F-Secure

  • This is a good way to confirm if F-Secure is the cause of the problem. Disable F-Secure temporarily and try to use iMazing. If it works, then you know you need to set up the correct whitelist rules.

3. Check for updates

  • Ensure you are running the latest version of iMazing, F-Secure, and your operating system. Outdated software can cause compatibility issues and be flagged by security programs.

4. Check your USB connection

  • Try a different USB port and/or cable. A faulty connection can sometimes cause issues that might be misinterpreted by security software.

5. Restart devices and services

  • Completely shut down your computer and your mobile device. Restart them both and try connecting again.
