I am trying to upgrade my subscription with a second code, but I cant?

I just purchased an Internet Security package and enabled this, then realised I wanted a VPN (my mistake), however when trying to enter a code via the subscription page, I can not see an are to input the code?

My current exact product (which is enabled) is: Internet Security & Scam Protection

I have a code for "Unlimited VPN 5 Devices", but the only field I have to input anything after selecting "Enter Subscription Code" from "Manage Subscriptions" is the Discount Code field on the very bottom. I have of course tried this anyway, to no avail.

I have tried this on my android device and PC with nothing new, I wondered if it was just a format issue via my android screen, or a google chrome error, but I have also tried on Microsoft Edge, and all identical..

Any advice would be great!

    Hello,

    If I understand the situation correctly, you're now stuck with basically two subscriptions. The first is F-Secure Internet Security & Scam Protection, and the second is F-Secure VPN (Unlimited VPN 5 Devices). Or the second one is not (yet) making to be a subscription, but just a code purchased somewhere that can be used when creating a fresh My F-Secure account.

    I think what you'll ultimately want now is something like the F-Secure TOTAL subscription; it's basically a bundle of F-Secure Internet Security & Scam Protection with F-Secure VPN and ID Monitoring.

    I think there are ways to upgrade to F-Secure Total, but you might be better off contacting the direct technical support channels: web-chat or phone-call options there (https://www.f-secure.com/en/support). Most likely, they can help handle the situation much better and without costs and losses.

    Sorry if I'm not entirely familiar with the current routine of modular solution, where perhaps you could simply purchase a VPN - and, now, just can't figure out where to enter the received activation code (or something similar) while it is expected to be possible.

    It may also be unclear how both items were purchased, for easier way to understand the situation. For example, if a VPN plan was purchased through the Internet Security & Scam Protection user interface, there should likely be a guide (perhaps an email) or on-screen steps. Otherwise, these two things are just unrelated and there is no direct way to unify via common / designed steps. So, help from support (and the ability to view details and perform some operations) is required.

    Hi there, thanks for getting back to me! So I went on a whim yesterday and created a new account with my 2nd email address, and indeed there was an option to input a subscription code.

    Ia shame you that the option disappears when theres an active subscription (regardless of type).

    So indeed it appears as though if someone does have an active subscription, only then can they upgrade with a direct card payment VS codes.
