Fail to get a sync code

I have vault in my laptop. When I try to add new device, I don't get a sync code. I have tried many many times (during past two years) but no success so far. So my vault is kind of useless. Should I re-install the software or what??? What happens if I re-install?

Thanks, but this doesn't help. The main problem is that the system doesn't provide any code at all (not automatically and not even if I try to get it by pressing the 'generate'-button).

If the device (win, mac ?) you are trying to generate a code from is not capable of doing so, I recommend reinstalling F-Secure on it and try again.(use the uninstallation tool in removing f-secure,and take the export of password vault before running the tool)

It didn't help. Instead I created a new vault in my phone and managed to connect my laptop in that vault. I don't know if this will work from now on. But I know this will be my last subscription of F-secure. I have had F-secure earlier a few years ago and ever since I have been very disappointed of the poor clarity of the user guides. They should be for dummies, not for experts and definitely not for advertising purposes.

Do you think there is anything wrong with those instructions that doesn't work? I think they are very detailed if you follow them carefully. If you find any errors, please report them here, of course, to the community forum or f-secure support directly.They are more than happy to get informed of those..

Ich kann das hier beschriebene Problem nachstellen. Die aktuelle Version für Windows produziert permanent einen Fehler und erstellt keinen Synchronisierungscode. Das in 2025 hier adressierte Problem besteht somit weiterhin und es wäre schon schön, wenn es dazu eine Fehlerkorrektur von f-secure gäbe. Was nützt die beste Ablaufbeschreibung, wenn die Software nicht tut, was sie soll: einen Synchronisierungscode generieren und anzeigen!

Hat man nur ein Windows-Gerät zur Verfügung, so gelingt einem von diesem nie das Synchronisieren auf ein weiteres neues Gerät!
