F-Secure SENSE router - update required

Dear F-Secure Support Team,

My name is Dragos, and I’m reaching out on behalf of Infodesign, the official distributor for F-Secure and WithSecure products in Romania for over 25 years.

I’ve been a long-time user and advocate of the F-Secure SENSE router, which has served me exceptionally well over the years. Recently, I changed my iPhone and attempted to reset and reconfigure the SENSE router. Unfortunately, I'm currently stuck during the setup process at the “SENSE needs to update its software” screen. When I tap Continue, it attempts to update but eventually fails with the message:“Could not update SENSE. The connection to the Internet may have been lost.”

I’ve tried different configurations, including connecting it to various Wi-Fi networks and routers, but the issue persists. I’ve encountered similar issues in the past during resets and managed to work around them, but this time I’ve hit a dead end.

I fully understand that SENSE has reached its End of Support (EOS) and End of Life (EOL) status. However, given my strong connection to the product and the value it has provided, I would be incredibly grateful if there is any workaround, legacy support knowledge, or internal documentation that might help me complete the setup and get it running again.

I truly appreciate your understanding. I know this request falls outside standard support scope, but I trust there may still be some passionate individuals in your team who, like me, still remember how great this product is and how to breathe life into it once more.

    Allthough the query is addressed to the F-Secure support team(pretty quiet community mods and admins), not for the contributors, who have limited ability and tools to provide special support. I'd like to add "My Sense story"😃

    Personally i took the old Sense router to the deepest spot of my home lake and dropped it there(beside other electronic stuff)and bought a more versatile firewall device/router for home networks. "Promised" f-secure secure(api interface) features still lacking..

    Even with the firewall functions alone, which may still work in the F-Secure Sense device are not sufficient and secure in my opinion and are, in a very F-Secure-like manner, rather stiff in their user interface.
