    Over the past 7 days, there’s no publicly available, reliable statistic that quantifies the number of “virus outbreaks”—whether you're referring to malware incidents, ransomware waves, or cyber infections—on a global scale. Most threat-intelligence platforms, like Fortinet’s FortiGuard, issue Outbreak Alerts only when significant, widespread attacks occur, and they don’t publish a simple “count of outbreaks in the last 7 days”

    That’s an interesting question. I’ve noticed the frequency of reported outbreaks does seem to spike lately, especially with new malware variants targeting browsers and cloud tools. It’d be great if F-Secure shared a weekly summary; I often track such data for client site security updates and backups.
