#more info on threads

New community questions(Threads) should require mandatory fields: information about the platform (win, mac, android, iOS), F-Secure version, browser, etc. is entered. This makes it easier to focus on a potential problem for both the customer and the software vendor+ contributors

    Hello,

    very good point.

however, there are some difficulties with the mandatory fields (I think):

    • this may discourage some people from creating anything (for example, scare them);
    • they can put completely random and bogus stuff, anyway;
    • not all user requests may require such information, or there is no clear list of what is really needed in terms of sufficiency in most cases (and not to demand anything extra just for the sake of it).

I think that for a user who wants to create a topic (just one) and has a desire - it will be really great (easier and more convenient for everyone). But if a user has a lot of questions, then it will probably be relatively tiring and irritating.

But I like the idea in general. And, perhaps, optionally recommended fields or any kind of 'visual' guide is the great thing there.

Thanks! And sorry for my opinion.

Okey,I asked a little help of my fellow..

" Here's a user-friendly form mockup with optional fields, soft guidance, and visual cues. This could be adapted for forums, support systems, or creative platforms where users submit questions or content.

Only the title is required — other fields are optional but help others understand and respond better.

    1. Title (required)

Give your topic a clear, specific title.
📌 Example: “Problem with OpenVPN connection after F-Secure update”

    [___________________________]

    2. Description (optional but recommended)

Describe what you're trying to do or ask. Include any details that can help others understand.
💡 Tip: Share what you’ve already tried or what you expect.

    [Text area here]

    3. Context / Setup (optional)

Help others help you faster by adding background info.
✅ Example prompts (shown as checklist or inline text fields):

    • ❓ What device or software are you using?
    • ⚙️ Operating system, browser, or app version?
    • 🧪 What have you already tested or ruled out?

[Text area or smart fields here]

    4. Tags (optional)

Add relevant keywords so others can find and filter your post.

    [#vpn] [#windows11] [#openvpn]

    5. Attachments / Screenshots (optional)

Sometimes a picture saves a thousand words.

[Upload button or drag & drop]

    [Submit]

    Or
    📋 [Preview before posting]

    💡 Visual/UX Elements (Optional Enhancements):

    • Tooltip icon next to each field: 🛈
    • Hovering tips or quick examples inside empty fields
    • “Auto-suggest” tags or common issues as you type
    • Save default setup info for registered users"
