Hello,
Sounds strange.
at a scan F-secure says it has found a threat but nothing more like which file or something like that. I don't get any option to remove it etiher. How do I find out what/where the threat is?
If this is the result of a manual scanning then the Scan Wizard should show the detected objects and offer available actions to deal with them. Perhaps if some threat is detected "in general" (let's say, many similar items) - it is combined into one name as threat without a specific file. Something like "system infection", so to speak. Also, perhaps sometimes there is no way to delete or quarantine a file - for example - inside an archive, some container or in a place "inaccessible" for such actions.
If it is real-time detection or Behavioral detection, then it is possible that there was a "blocking" of the threat, which could have simply been an action. Let's say via powershell, cmd or something similar, where the "action" is eliminated rather than the cause.
In any case, such events should be tracked in Event history (https://help.f-secure.com/product.html#home/total-windows/latest/en/close_scan_wizard-latest-en), where you can try to expand related string and see available details.
However, could you add more information about your experience:
- what is your operating system? and its version?
- what is your F-Secure solution? and its version?
- about the way how F-Secure says it has found a threat; maybe a screenshot can be most useful there. because it will be visible also what it says.
// You could also check if something is landed in quarantine or blocked items (https://help.f-secure.com/product.html#home/total-windows/latest/en/task_758ED015BB8B4A89B6CE1F880DF825D0-latest-en)
Thanks!

Hi Ukko and thank you for the reply.
- what is your operating system? and its version?
I'm running MacOS and Sequoia 15.4.1
- what is your F-Secure solution? and its version?
I have F-Secure Total version 25.4
- about the way how F-Secure says it has found a threat; maybe a screenshot can be most useful there. because it will be visible also what it says.
I'm running a manual scan and a screenshot of the only result is enclosed. No other dialogues or prompts.
Another strange thing is that the threat count is 0 all the way until the scan ends and then it turns to 1 -
Hi,
this looks like a bug. Can you please run Support Tool and send the resulting fsdiag.tar.gz to me in a PM?
Additionally, open the "/tmp" folder by going to Finder and choosing "Go" → "Go to folder" ("Gå" → "Gå till mapp…"). Type in /tmp and press enter. Locate any files with names starting with "fsav-scan-report" and send those also to me in a PM.
Thank you!
