How do I install F-Secure on a MacBook Air running Big Sur 11.7

I just uninstalled F-Secure ver 19.3, because the VPN client didn't work. I know that the VPN-client works with F-Secure ver 19.1 on a Macbook running Monterey 12.x. Is it possible to download an older version (i.e. 19.1) of F-Secure?

"The minimum required version of the F-Secure app is 19.6. However, since you are using macOS Big Sur (11.7), support was discontinued in version 19.4. Additionally, for security reasons, older versions of the F-Secure app are no longer available for download."

Unfortunately looks like the F-Secure app version you need is no longer available for download. In order to get F-Secure working the Macbook hardware and software should be upgraded.System requirements are:

    Hello @Henkele

    Thank you for your question.

The reason the VPN function is not working on your macOS is that it is running an older version. We updated our VPN system on January 2, 2025, and older versions of Freedome or F-Secure Total VPN apps are no longer supported. As a result, these versions may get stuck in the "Connecting…" state. We recommend updating the VPN app to the latest version to ensure proper functionality. For more details, please refer to this article: Update Your F-Secure VPN by January 2, 2025.

The minimum required version of the F-Secure app is 19.6. However, since you are using macOS Big Sur (11.7), support was discontinued in version 19.4. Additionally, for security reasons, older versions of the F-Secure app are no longer available for download.

Hence, we strongly recommend updating your macOS to a supported version to ensure compatibility and security. For more details on supported operating systems, please refer to this link: System requirements.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you and have a lovely day.

My Macbook can't run newer Os than Big Sur 11.7. My question again, how do I install F-secure ver 19.1? This is the third time I ask this question.

To buy 3 new Macs is out of the question as they still works fine and Macs are not cheap. It is not impossible to send me a link to download the F-secure version 19.1. That the version is unsupported is ok by me. I have used F-secure ver 4.x and forward until year 2007 in my old company (70 licenses) and the last 17 years in private for 10 licenses. Do I have to change that? Best regards Henrik

I would ask, what is the reason for you "collecting" old F-Secure security products? After all, once they become obsolete, their benefit even on an otherwise functioning computer is mainly visual, museum-like😀

To tell for how long we have used F-Secure. I can send you this installation file FSAV408N.EXE, but you can send me ver 19.1. I will look somewhere else for help. Thank you.
