This is not a question

I am a very early beta tester since the first Ultralight release and quite happy with that modest participation.

I must confess I have the feeling that FS has gone the wrong way when they dropped the Freedome VPN for Avira which has a very bad VPN: speeds, locations etc. are a mess.

This is the reason why I am considering leaving the best testing while feeling sorry for that.

Are they really abandoning Freedome VPN? What the hell is going in with F-Secure!!

Well, it´s time to uninstall F-Secure from my machine and let my existing subscription run out.

Yes the latest VPN version in FS Total is Avira made: https://community.f-secure.com/en/discussion/128857/f-secure-needs-to-make-an-official-announcement-regarding-all-the-changes-in-v19-9-avira

However, To be sure should we all wait for an official announcement about possible technological changes? There are still other development possibilities in VPN technology than merging with a competitor.

BTW. The name Freedome VPN has been allready changed to F-Secure VPN(19.8) and just F-Secure in Android and iOS(according app. info)

    Hello @yeoldfart @MJO @JOnes

Thank you for your post and question.

It seems there has been some misunderstanding regarding the product change. To clarify, we are only transitioning our DeepGuard to Behavioral Detection, as outlined in this release. For your information, this change does not impact the VPN feature in any way.

We hope this clears things up. Thank you, and we wish you a wonderful day.
