VPN UI functionality improvement proposal

I noticed that if I impatiently spam click between the different servers the requests in the client get queued.
After waiting for some time the queue clears itself but if I during that time try to disconnect the VPN the queue continues running and re-established the next queued action. I could reproduce this using openvpn and ikev2 connections.
The expected operation for this kind of user behavior in my mind would be to just discard the current queue of actions and just complete the latest request of the user.
Another acceptable solutuion in my opinion would be to just block this kind of end user action.
