Changing profile from child to normal family member

I shared one F-secure license with my child years ago and selected child profile for him, but since he's not a child anymore, I'd like to change his profile to normal profile. I can't find any place where to change his "status". When I try to share a new unused licence with him, app just says that he is already a member of a group. How could I change this?

    Hello,

Based on my experience, he could try to do it himself (or better to say, on his device).

Although, maybe, I have never tried to switch the profile type of the invited user (“own” account under someone else’s subscription) - but I think the logic of things should be the same.

    • Open the F-Secure app.
    • Select "user's logo" in main UI from the top-right corner and then select 'Switch user' in the opened menu.
    • alternatively, if "Switch user" is not available as an option, to use 'Log out' functionality as described there: Logging out of the app | Total | Latest | F-Secure User Guides
    • then to 'login' with your main credentials (main F-Secure account) or with his credentials (his 'invited' account) and set-up installation as for an 'adult' profile.

I think "child profile" is assigned to the installation itself rather to 'shared licence'. So, it should be enough to perform mentioned steps.

However, if 'shared licence" is somehow pinned to child profile type - then - another option is to switch his licence from sub-user to main user. Or better to call it - stop sharing a licence. As described there: Stop sharing protection with a family member or friend | Total | Latest | F-Secure User Guides

Then, he (or you) could set-up his installation on his device by logging into app with your credentials of your My F-Secure account. If this is not suitable; and the preferred way is to have 'own' credentials for own shared licence. Then, I think originally mentioned steps with "Switch user" or "Logout" are the best choice. Quite likely - there should be an option to select a "main type/adult" profile rather than a "child profile"; as such - it will probably be called "installing for me" (or something like that).

Thanks and sorry for my English.
