As for our antivirus program, we make sure that real threats are detected and blocked as quickly as possible.
The situation you describe on your device may be related to messages that only look like they should come from McAfee. It is likely that you are dealing with fake messages. This problem is described in more detail on the McAfee website: McAfee KB - Your browser displays fake McAfee notifications This website is also available in Swedish.
Here you will find information on how to recognize fake McAfee messages from real ones and how to get rid of them.
However, if you think that our program actually failed to detect the threat that appeared on your computer then we ask you to follow the steps below.
1. Submit the sample to F-Secure Sample Analysis System (SAS) portal using the link below:www.f-secure.com/sas
2. Click Choose file button. Locate the sample.
3. Tick I want to give more details about this sample and to be notified of the analysis results.
4. Enter your name, and email address, and fill in the problem details.
5. Enter the verification code, then click Submit sample.
Once the sample has been submitted, you will receive an email with a case ticket from our lab. Our lab team will work on it and get back to you directly.
