F-Secure Total & Huawei Mate 9 do not match

Hello,
It may depend on what version of Android(?) you have installed on your device.
Based on my brief check with Google Search - Huawei Mate 9 is, at least, with Android 7.
Current F-Secure Total app system requirements are:
- System requirements | Total | Latest | F-Secure User Guides
- F‑Secure Total — Complete online protection | F‑Secure (f-secure.com)
For Android platform - listed limitation is Android 10.0 or newer / later.
So, it is normal that it is not possible to install F-Secure TOTAL app (for Android) on a device running Android 7 operating system as Android 10 or later releases are required.
It is always better to review system and technical requirements in advance just in case. In your situation - I think that purchasing a license was not only for this device (since the license is for 10), but in any case - it is possible to get a refund (as I think) if the purchase was only for this device; or official staff of F-Secure in the Community will help, or you can contact the official F-Secure Support channels about this matter.
Perhaps, some solutions (which have similar functionality to modules in the F-Secure TOTAL app) have other system requirements. For example, I see that F-Secure VPN is Android 8.0 and later; and F-Secure ID Protection is Android 7 or later.
As a kind of 'lifehack or workaround' - maybe you can ask F-Secure Support for one promo licence for your device for such applications (which can be actually F-Secure Total's Privacy VPN or Password Vault / ID Monitoring modules). Just to cover your Huawei Mate 9 device with some of functionality while your 10-devices subscription is running. But I am not sure if they are engaged in such kind of 'charity' (in some sense). But it can be reasonable if F-Secure VPN app and F-Secure ID Protections apps may still running on your device while bought F-Secure TOTAL's app with relevant functionality can't and you still wish to obtain this level of 'privacy/security' via your solution (still not be possible to utilize Browsing Protection / AV parts as an example).
Thanks!

Hello @DonSecure
Thank you for sharing your problem with us.
@Ukko is correct that it will not be formally possible to install Android 10 on this device. As a result, our program will not be able to run on it. We are not able to change this.
Therefore, if you have a license for 10 devices, at least one license will remain unused.
Please write how many devices you would like to protect. If you have one or two licenses unused, perhaps you could share them with family or friends. In this situation, the person you ask creates a sub-user account and can install the program on their device using your license.
Please let us know how this looks in your case.
Best regards
