Hello,

I installed f-secure on my smartphone and started a scan. All applications have been inspected and only one has a risk according to the antivirus: Microsoft Authenticator.

Is it a known false positive or a threat?

    Hello @Djiss28

Our technicians are analyzing the reported cases of False Positive and have taken a close look at the screenshot you posted.

    We discovered the following.

com.authenticator is not the Android package name for Microsoft Authenticator. The package name for MA is com.azure.authenticator. In fact, there's no package with name com.authenticator available on Play Store at all.

Therefore, we would like you to check exactly what program in this case was considered as PUA (Potentially Unwanted Application). Send us the details of this application and we will check it.

    Have a good one!
