Release 19.5 beta 1 (build 61289)
We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started later.
Highlights of this release:
- Browsing Protection
- improved browser extension state change detection (more reactive messaging in UI when extensions get disabled)
- improved telemetry reporting for supported block event types
- improved banking session trigger (false positive fix)
- improved memory usage profile (allow discarding old extension requests data)
- VPN improved stability for systems with disabled SIP (System Integrity Protection)
- Product disk storage cleanup (removal of legacy "fssp" directories)
- Anti-Virus performance improvements
- perform full cloud lookups for files downloaded from the Internet only
- preserve clean file cache on irrelevant settings update
- include Apple built-in apps and binaries to whitelist
- include updated paths and codesign identifier of 3rd party apps to whitelist (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
- Coalesce reputation lookups for the same file instead of initiating separate lookups
- Update system state management improved (wait for all retryable downloads to complete before terminating the update routine)
Known issues:
- The new Anti-Virus coalescing logic sometimes causes a failure to respond to Apple's Endpoint Security subsystem which leads to temporary freezes. Will be addressed in the next beta release
- Missing localisations

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new release of FS Protection for Mac. This update is available for download from My FS Protection and delivery to existing installations will be started later.
Highlights of this release:
- New feature: Events history. Main UI window shows product related events which include
- Browsing Protection: block page events (unsafe/suspicious/illegal/ untrusted shopping site blocks)
- Banking Protection: banking session activation, blocks of websites unsafe during banking session
- Subscription state updates
- Product updates
- Anti-Virus performance improvements to caching logic
- persistent cache storage introduced
- prevent cache clear on database updates
Known issues:
- Secure Browsing welcome view is missing bullet points for features included in the license
- Last successful Security Cloud connection stays at "Unknown" on the "Updates" tab in product settings

Highlights of this release:
- Events history improvements with lots of new event types added
- Shared Upsell campaigns with Windows products
- Anti-Virus engine crash fixes
- Anti-Virus backend query optimizations
- DeepGuard unnecessary files removed from installation
- Removed a deprecated localhost HTTP server from the product
Known issues:
- Events may contain "NOT IMPLEMENTED" empty events. This is a known temporary glitch and can be ignored. It will not happen with new events.

- This version was produced by an updated Xcode SDK version and latest macOS version. Please report any unexpected behavior.
Known issues:
- Events may contain "NOT IMPLEMENTED" empty events. This is a known temporary glitch and can be ignored. It will not happen with new events.
