You can try below setting and looks if it help:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Click on Apps.
    3. Click on Apps & features.
    4. Under Installing apps, select the Choose where to get apps drop-down menu.
    5. Select "Anywhere". This will allow you to install apps from any source, including the Microsoft Store, the internet, and other devices.

    Thank you for your hint.

It was not possible to install the software. It's probably because Windows 11 Home S is installed, that blocks the installation?

    Looking forward to new comments

Thank you very much marmab for the useful answer. Nevertheless I won't leave the Windows S-mode, because it's only the "travel laptop" and I don't store sensible data.

    Best regards
