In may 2020 you wrote: "Yes, you are correct. FSCNKE is a component used by F-Secure products. However, it's not used in SAFE currently. This message does not mean anything critical and does not affect compatibility of SAFE. SAFE is fully compatible with macOS Catalina.

Please be advised that this error message will be removed in the upcoming 17.8 release."

The problem seems to persist. Is there a solution?

Sincerely

    Hi @User_96899

Thank you for reaching out to F-Secure Community.

You may have an old version of F-Secure SAFE installed on your Mac device. Currently, the minimum requirement for macOS to install F-Secure SAFE is macOS version 10.15 (Catalina, 10.15.5 and higher). You can refer to the article below:

Kindly update your macOS to the latest version available in order to get the latest F-Secure SAFE installed on your device.

    Thank you.

My mac can no longer be upgraded. Does this mean the device is no longer protected by f-secure?

    Hello @User_96899

    Thank you for your reply.

Can you share with me a screenshot of the F-Secure app version running on your Mac?

Does this mean the device is no longer protected by f-secure?

No, just because your Mac can no longer be upgraded does not mean it is no longer protected by F-Secure. Your F-Secure antivirus software will continue to provide protection against viruses and other online threats, even if your Mac's operating system is no longer being updated.

It is important to note, however, that operating system updates often include security patches that address vulnerabilities in the system. Without these updates, your Mac may be more vulnerable to attack. To mitigate this risk, it's a good idea to take steps to protect your device and be extra cautious when browsing the web or opening email attachments.

Thank you and have a good day.
